State Mandate Coordinator

­­Position Summary

Virtual Academy creates training courses for Law Enforcement Officers and 911 Telecommunicators online and in person. Primary job responsibilities include: coordination of all state approvals and management of active courses based on approval status.

 

Suggested Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not mandatory

 

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions

Reviewing course outlines to facilitate credit for online course work

Preparing and submitting all documents to state entities for approvals

Coordinating timely release and required information for all courses

Researching state mandates and making course recommendations

Reviewing active courses by state annually for accuracy based on approval status

All other duties as assigned

Work Environment/Physical Requirements of the Job

General office conditions. Must have the ability to effectively utilize software required to complete tasks. Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer workstation. Requires consistent use of a computer mouse and keyboard. May require bending, stooping, and/or lifting of less than 50 lbs. Occasional travel may be required.
